The protocols generated by ASTRID ATS are informational in nature and are not warranties, guarantees, or professional recommendations.
- The user (vessel operator, officer, or crew member) is solely responsible for verifying that any suggested protocol complies with the vessel's Certificate of Fitness, cargo handling manual, and applicable regulations.
- The user must ensure compliance with MARPOL Annexes I and II, SOLAS, port state control requirements, and applicable local legislation.
- The final decision on tank cleaning procedures rests entirely with the Chief Officer, Master, or designated responsible officer.
- Users must verify compatibility with the specific tank coating, heating system capacity, and available cleaning equipment.
- Charterer and cargo owner requirements always take precedence and must be verified separately.
ASTRID ATS and its developers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this service, including but not limited to:
- Cargo contamination, quality claims, or cargo rejection
- Environmental damage, pollution incidents, or MARPOL violations
- Equipment damage, tank coating damage, or structural harm
- Commercial losses, charter party claims, or demurrage
- Personal injury or loss of life
- Regulatory fines, port state detentions, or legal penalties
The ASTRID ATS protocol system, coding conventions, and cleaning methodologies have been independently developed by Astrid Maritime Technology. The ATS coding system (ATS-AQUA, ATS-CHM, ATS-SLV, ATS-PROT, ATS-SPEC, ATS-SELF, ATS-DRY) is proprietary to Astrid Maritime Technology and does not reproduce or represent any third-party proprietary classification system.
Cleaning procedure principles referenced herein are based on widely recognized and publicly available chemical engineering and maritime best practice principles. Any resemblance to specific third-party publications is coincidental.
While we strive for accuracy, Astrid Maritime Technology makes no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of the information for any particular purpose. Maritime regulations and industry practices change over time. Users should always refer to the latest IMO, MARPOL, and industry guidelines.

Access to ASTRID ATS is subject to subscription terms. Unauthorized redistribution, copying, or commercial use of the protocol data or methodology is prohibited. Vessel operators and shipping companies using ASTRID ATS commercially require a valid subscription or license.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Turkish courts.
